Naked Ape is a festival and event cafe specialising in Organic Espresso based coffee. Over the past 4 years of trading we have grown from a small city centre pitch in Leeds to travelling all over the country to various events and large music festivals bringing our premium hot drinks to eager coffee fans far and wide.
We are mostly organic- this applies to our coffee beans, milk, hot chocolate, teas and most of our cake ingredients. We try and source our milk locally wherever we are and love to support small, organic dairies whenever we can.
We take great pride in our products and all staff are trained baristas- no bad extraction, bitter tastes, burnt milk here! We believe in using the best ingredients carefully to produce something people will come back for- not just something to sell which people will regret buying. After years of dissappointing coffee on the high street we knew we had to do better!
We have been solar powered for the past 3 years and our Astoria espresso machine is a gas powered manual model so we aren't reliant on noisy generators and it also means we can be completely off-grid once set up. As well as using 100% compostable disposables we offer real mugs on a deposit system which is our preferred option as although it means more washing up for us, it means less waste and a nicer coffee experience!
